After nine months and nearly 40,000 nautical miles of racing, the 2008/09 Volvo Ocean Race has come to a close. We've seen great racing, close finishes, crews hired and fired, friendships forged, acts of bravery and sportsmanship, all in the cauldron of one of the toughest endeavours left on the planet.

On Sunday night, June 28th, in St. Petersburg, the final prizegiving was an opportunity to remember and celebrate all that has happened on this magnificent adventure and to hail the winners of the overall race, Skipper Torben Grael and the entire Ericsson 4 crew.
