Calling all Potential Irish Langauge Television Writers

TG4 in association with the ILBF & BBC NI are inviting new or experienced Irish language writers to apply to a Scriptwriting Development Scheme.
Up to six places are available to Irish speaking writers interested in writing drama for television.
It is envisaged that the training scheme will take place over a 6 month period and will feature workshops and mentoring from key industry professionals.
Areas which will be covered include Story arcing; Story structure; Character Development; Dialogue; Tone; Pace; Broadcaster Requirements.
The end result of the scheme being 6 x 25' of polished scripts ready for production for possible broadcast on TG4 & BBC NI.
Potential applicants must submit an idea for a single half hour drama based around the theme Stigma.
The story should have a contemporary setting and also be set in a realistic situation where Irish would be spoken.
To be considered for this scheme, please submit a cover letter outlining why you should attend this course, a CV, a one sentence description of the story, a paragraph outlining the story, details of main characters and a one scene script.
Please note that this course is directed at Northern based writers who are fluent in Irish.
