One lucky act will emerge as champion of Glas Vegas and jet off to the capital of entertainment itself, Las Vegas, to perform in front of some of the biggest talent scouts in America.
Over 13 episodes, hundreds of acts will take to the stage, hoping to become the next big thing in the world of showbiz. Singers, musicians, dancers, acrobats, comedians and magicians - to mention just some of the acts on the show - will be giving the performance of their lives to impress the judges.
The previous winners of Glas Vegas have both experienced the bright lights of Vegas. Shannon Reilly, a singer from Dundalk, and Moneeka Mukerjee, a contortionist from Cork, met with the talent scouts in Vegas. Indeed, Shannon Reilly is currently making plans to return to Las Vegas for further talks.
With the new series comes new judges. Fiachna O Braonáin, of The Hothouse Flowers, will be bringing his experience of the showbiz scene to Glas Vegas. Evelyn O'Rourke, popular broadcaster and Gerry Ryan's sidekick, will weigh in with some no-nonsense judging. Returning to the panel is Tom O Brannagáin, known for his straight talking and ruthless assessment of the acts on stage.
Tom intends to continue with his policy of honesty, and is sure to ruffle some feathers along the way.
Presented by Gemma Ní Chionnaith, the quest for a new star has begun. Don't miss it?
