The Institute of Creative Advertising and Design has again rewarded TG4 - on the treble! Last weekend's ICAD Awards saw the Irish language channel's creative output take home three separate prizes.
ICAD is acknowledged as Ireland's premier creative awards scheme and prizes and are much coveted. The selection jury - comprising national and international experts reward excellence across a range of creative skills and output formats.
This year saw the TG4 team (comprising in-house personnel and those from its creative partners Publicis QMP) win ICAD Awards for material created to promote its drama and sports output. It took bronze in the Best Outdoor Campaign cateogy for the "Boobs" campaign (jointly promoting the drama series Ros na Rún and Nip Tuck). TG4 won Silver in the TV Campaign category - the highest prize awarded in this category this year - for the "Tuigeann tú anois, Daniel" campaign (jointly promoting Ros na Rún and Cold Case campaign and took another Silver in the Best Art Direction category for the "Pregnant" campaign, promoting TG4's coverage of and sponsorship for Ladies Gaelic Football.
These winning ICAD entries can now be entered for the Art Directors of Europe prize.
Pádraic Ó Ráighne, TG4 Marketing Executive congratulated all those involved in the two award-winning TG4 projects. "These highly prestigious awards are recognition by our peers in the creative industry that TG4 is very successful in creating, devising, producing and putting to air its own distinctive identity to the highest standards and in a very innovative way", he said.
