Dara will be joined weekly at TG4 headquarters by resident sports pundit Seán Bán Breathnach (SBB) alongside well known analysts such as Darragh Ó Sé, John Allen, Ray Silke, Tomás Ó Flatharta, Kevin Cassidy, Liam Rushe, Paul Galvin, Donal O’Grady, Charlie Vernon, Mattie Murphy and many more……
On the Road reporter Gemma Ní Chionnaith will once again travel the length and breadth of the country for exclusive interviews with the top GAA players and managers.
Presenter Dara Ó Cinnéide is looking forward to a jam packed Spring full of Sport, from the new season Allianz Football and Hurling Leagues, the AIB Club Championships & NEW to the series, Rugby with the RBS Six Nations Championship, the closing stages of the Rabo Direct PRO12 & The Heineken Cup.
“For us in Seó Spóirt we focus especially on GAA and Rugby
activities and in spring we have a busy season ahead – the Allianz Football and
Hurling leagues and in rugby the RBS Six Nations is starting again. Towards the
end of spring the Heineken Cup starts to pick up again.
There will be lots of action on the playing fields and we hope to give it
excellent coverage with plenty of debate and discussion surrounding it.”
In 2012 we have some great competitions on the show. In association with Ulster Bank Rugby Force we have VIP tickets and accommodation for two to the final rugby match of the spring, Ireland v England on St. Patrick’s Day in Twickenham.
The “Céard a tharla?” competition returns, with viewers sporting memories tested as they recall ‘what happened next?’ in order to win a county GAA jersey of their choice from O’Neill’s.
Ó Cinneide is also looking forward to the hugely popular schools competition ‘Thar an Trasnán’ in association with O’Neills which returns to our screens. Last year’s competition was won by Ard Scoil Rís in Limerick City and they will be the first school to feature in the new series where they bid to retain their title.
