Susan Ní Bheaglaoich's Meal
Homemade Burger with potatoes and
beans
Ingredients
- Minced
meat
- 1
onion
- Garlic
clove
- Mixed
herbs
- 1
egg
- Flour
- Salt
- Pepper
Method
- Wash
the potatoes and place in a pot of boiling water.
- Put
a lid on it and boil the potatoes for 30 minutes.
- Dice
the onion and the garlic finely.
- In
a large bowl, mix the minced meat, onion and garlic, mixed herbs, salt and
pepper with the beaten egg, with a spoon or your hands.
- Use
the flour to shape the burgers.
- Heat
some oil in a pan.
- Place
the burgers in the pan, and cook on a high heat for 5 minutes.
- Turn
down the heat and cook on either side, until cooked through.
- Put
the beans in a saucepan and heat for 7-10 minutes.
- Serve the burger on a plate
with the potatoes and beans.
Dessert
Apple, Blackberry and Strawberry Crumble with Ice Cream
Ingredients
- Flour
- Margarine
- Sugar
- Apples
- Blackberries
- Strawberries
- Blueberries
- Ice
cream
Method
- With
your fingers, rub the margarine into the flour.
- Add
some sugar to it.
- Cut
the fruit into smaller pieces.
- Put
the fruit into a large dish.
- Cover
the fruit with the crumble.
- Place
in the oven at 180C for 40-45 minutes.
- Serve
with a little ice cream.
