Catherine Donohue's  Meal

Pasta with Chorizo Sausage

Ingredients

  • 2x chorizo sausage
  • 2 medium onions finely chopped
  • 10 mushrooms
  • 1 small carton of cream

Method

  1. chop the chorizo into chunks and fry in a wok with 2 table spoons of oil.
  2. add spaghetti to water with a pinch of salt and cook for 8-10 mins.
  3. once the chorizo is browner add onion mushrooms and the cream.
  4. drain spaghetti and add the the chorizo mixture.
  5. best served with homemade garlic bread. 

Dessert

Apple Crumble with Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • Flour
  • Margarine
  • Sugar
  • Apples
  • Ice cream

Method

  1. With your fingers, rub the margarine into the flour.
  2. Add some sugar to it.
  3. Cut the fruit into smaller pieces.
  4. Put the fruit into a large dish.
  5. Cover the fruit with the crumble.
  6. Place in the oven at 180C for 40-45 minutes. 
  7. Serve with a little ice cream.
