Imeall has explored every avenue of art in Ireland, from the Galleries and studios to the caves and prisons. Where the creative process flourishes, our reporters follow. The beauty of Imeall is often found away from the glare of our biggest stars and in the arts initiatives and movements that enrich the lives of people around the country, be that with inmates in Mountjoy Prison or with elderly people in rural Mayo who have discovered a passion for art later in life.
Of course, we’ve featured some of Ireland’s best known artists over the years, Joseph O’Connor, Colm Meaney, Terry George, Colm Tóibín, Enda Walsh, Cillian Murphy, Sinéad O’Connor, Michael Fassbender, Mick Flannery and many more. After 5 successful seasons, Imeall continues to dig out the best of Irish and International talent and season 6 will see us unearth many more gems.
