WWOOFáil THAILAND follows weather presenter Mairéad Ní Chuaig and journalist Tomaí Ó Conghaile on their road trip across Thailand. Stepping out of the studio and into the world of organic farming, ready to get their hands dirty in search of new adventures.

 

Episode 1 – Bannboo Farm

Mairéad & Tomaí leave Bangkok to start working on Baanboo Farm situated in Nakhon Nayok, a small province in central Thailand. This farm specializes in bamboo and the presenters learn all about growing, harvesting and building with bamboo while a rafting trip down the local river turns into an adventure!

Episode 2 – Asa lanta

Tomaí and Máiread head south to Koh Lanta, a tropical island off the Andaman coast. They stay on a jungle tea farm and take a magical sea kayaking trip around the island’s fascinating coast.

Episode 3 – New Life Foundation

Tomaí and Mairéad head north to the city of Chang Rai and visit a recovery centre that uses meditation and yoga to treat addiction. During downtime they visit the local market and cook a local curry.

Episode 4 – Thom’s Elephant Camp

Tomaí and Mairéad head north to Pai, a backpacker’s paradise situated high in the mountains near Chiang Mai. They will visit elephants and the local markets during downtime.

Episode 5 – Chtwa Farm

Tomaí and Mairéad return to Bangkok to stay with an urban farmer living in downtown Bangkok. During downtime they go backstage at a local ‘lady boy’ show, take a Thai boxing lesson and hangout in Chinatown.
