Subtitle availability for TG4 programmes is  indicated on the listings as follows:

• OS – English Onscreen Subtitles
• TS – English subtitles available through Teletext, page 888
• GS – Irish language subtitles available through Teletext 888

IRISH LANGUAGE PROGRAMMES

Most of TG4’s pre-recorded Irish language programmes carry English language subtitles Onscreen (OS)

For live programmes, the subtitles are usually available on the repeat showing (e.g 7 Lá)

Ros na Rún and 1916 Seachtar na Cásca have Irish language subtitles available on 888 as well as the English language Onscreen subtitles.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAMMES

English language subtitles are available on some movies.  Please check the listings.

KIDS PROGRAMMES

English language subtitles are available on Teletext page 888 for  Spongebob Squarepants and Dora (TS).

Irish language subtitles are available on Teletext for  Olivia, Garfield, Mr Men, Wonderpets, Dinosaur Train (GS).

Please check the listings.  For any programmes marked TS or GS; you need to select 888 to view the subtitles.
