The IFTA Awards are the most prestigious awards in Irish film and television. Selection juries comprising leading practitioners in the industry select the short-listed entries and the ultimate prize winners were announced at the gala occasion last night.
Director General Pól Ó Gallchóir, congratulated the winners.”TG4 has received nominations and prizes at each IFTA since we came on air,” he said “and this impressive haul of winners for 2015 represents another marker of the excellence of our output and the regard in which it is held by our industry peers and the audience. Competing in the same categories that include some of the best quality English language TV content available anywhere, bears out the regular feedback we receive from viewers and critics who associate TG4 with distinctive quality and innovation”, he said.
