Beautician Sharon Conroy embarks on a journey to become a world champion powerlifter (WDFPF) at a competition taking place on the shores of beautiful Lake Garda. Láidir follows Sharon through her gruelling training process, during which she endures painful and lengthy weight training sessions, building her strength to ensure her success at competition. Sharon will be taking part in three categories: squat, bench press, and dead lift. To ensure gold, Sharon needs to outlift her competitors. This leads to a psychological battle as well as a physical one.
