TG4 broadcasts star-studded charity match live from Carlow<\/strong><br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>TG4 will broadcast <strong>Hurling for Cancer Research 2026<\/strong> live from Netwatch Cullen Park, Carlow on <strong>Monday, 24 August<\/strong>, as some of the biggest names in Irish sport come together for one of the most unique and worthwhile events in the sporting calendar.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Live coverage begins on TG4 at 19:15, ahead of the 19:30 throw-in<\/strong>, with the annual charity match proudly supported by Centra raising vital funds for cancer research through the Irish Cancer Society.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The event will also see an extraordinary contribution from those working behind the scenes to bring the action to viewers at home. <strong>Every member of the television production crew working on the TG4 coverage will give their time free of charge on the day<\/strong>, with almost <strong>40 crew members<\/strong> having volunteered so far.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Production company <strong>Fogarty Fenwick: Television Production<\/strong> will also provide its services completely free of charge, continuing a remarkable commitment to Hurling for Cancer Research which will see the company produce the event for television for the <strong>eighth consecutive year without charge<\/strong>.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Fogarty Fenwick works closely with TG4 throughout the sporting year and produces programming including <strong>Sacar Beo<\/strong> and <strong>Cispheil Bheo<\/strong>, alongside a range of other productions for the channel.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The voluntary commitment of the production company and crew reflects the spirit that has made Hurling for Cancer Research such a cancer research to date, with players, sporting personalities, organisers, volunteers and supporters coming together each year to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society and its life-saving research.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s match will once again feature a remarkable collection of hurling, camogie and sporting stars.<br \/>\nAmong those set to take part are <strong>Patrick Horgan, Noel McGrath, Lee Chin, Joe Canning, Austin Gleeson, Darragh O&#8217;Donovan, Walter Walsh, Tommy Walsh, Jackie Tyrrell, Grace Walsh and Ashling Thompson<\/strong>, alongside stars from other sports including Dublin footballer <strong>Con O&#8217;Callaghan<\/strong> and former Republic of Ireland international <strong>Stephen Hunt<\/strong>.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>County rivalries will be put aside for the evening as <strong>Jim Bolger&#8217;s Stars<\/strong> take on <strong>Davy Russell&#8217;s Best<\/strong>, with entertainment and fundraising at the heart of an occasion that has become a firm favourite for players and supporters alike.<\/p>\n<p>TG4&#8217;s coverage will bring the atmosphere from Netwatch Cullen Park to audiences around the country, while <strong>Sp\u00f3rt TG4&#8217;s social media channels will carry clips, highlights and updates<\/strong> from the event throughout the evening.<\/p>\n<p>Supporters are encouraged to attend the match in Carlow or contribute directly to the fundraising effort.
