Today marks C\u00fala4\u2019s 3rd birthday, and it is also Nuacht C\u00fala4\u2019s first day back on air.
\nNuacht C\u00fala4 is a news programme for young people, covering local, national and international news. Tune in to Nuacht C\u00fala4 from Tuesday to Friday at 1.30pm and again at 5.30pm, or catch up on cula4.com<\/p>\n

Meet the new reporters on the Nuacht C\u00fala4 team:
\n <\/p>\n

Ciar\u00e1n \u00d3 Flaithearta<\/strong>
\nCiar\u00e1n is from Inis M\u00f3r, the largest of the three Aran Islands in Galway. He attended Scoil Eoin P\u00f3l II and Col\u00e1iste Naomh \u00c9inne before completing his undergraduate degree in Journalism and Irish from the University of Galway. He has worked with Citylink, Balls.ie and with Sp\u00f3rt TG4. He gained lots of experience from these roles and the transferable skills he gained will be useful in the new role. Ciar\u00e1n also co-hosts his own rugby podcast about all things Irish rugby. Ciar\u00e1n is passionate about story telling and aims to tell the stories of the Gaeltacht through his native language! Ciar\u00e1n \u00d3 Flaithearta is based in the Connacht region for Nuacht C\u00fala4.
\n <\/p>\n

N\u00edamh\u00a0N\u00ed Fhear\u00e1in<\/strong>
\nN\u00edamh is from Inishowen, County Donegal. She went to Gaelscoil Cois Feabhail, where she fell in love with the Irish language. She has a degree in Irish from St Mary’s University College Belfast. She has worked with F\u00edb\u00edn Media, Comhairle na Gaelscola\u00edochta, and many Gaeltacht courses in Donegal. As a singer and a musician, she is passionate about traditional music. An Ch\u00e9ad Ghl\u00fain Eile are her favourite singers.
\nShe has a Professional Masters in Education degree with Marino Institute of Education and is a primary school teacher. She taught Senior Infants for two years in Dublin. She absolutely loves Irish and she thoroughly enjoys to inspire the language among the youth.
\nN\u00edamh is a twin. She and her sister Aoife are very alike. N\u00edamh really enjoys going to the beach and she loves the beautiful natural views of Ireland. She often goes running or walking along the coast. On a nice day, she likes to swim in the sea. N\u00edamh N\u00ed Fhear\u00e1in is based in the Ulster region for Nuacht C\u00fala4.
\n <\/p>\n

James Mac \u00c9inr\u00ed<\/strong>
\nJames McEnery is from Lurgan, Co. Armagh. He attended Bunscoil Naomh Proinsias and Col\u00e1iste Chaitr\u00edona. He graduated from Ulster University with a BA (Hons) in Irish with Computing. During his studies, he gained experience across Irish-language journalism, broadcasting and digital media through placements with RT\u00c9 Gaeilge and Nuacht TG4. He has also worked with Raidi\u00f3 na Gaeltachta and the Celtic Media Festival as a presenter, reporter and content creator.
\nJames is currently completing a Master\u2019s degree in Cleachtas Gairmi\u00fail sna Me\u00e1in at the University of Galway. He has a particular interest in journalism, storytelling and creating engaging Irish-language content for young audiences. James Mac \u00c9inr\u00ed is based in the Leinster region for Nuacht C\u00fala4.
\n <\/p>\n

Caitr\u00edona N\u00ed \u00d3g\u00e1in<\/strong>
\nCaitr\u00edona is from T\u00edr an Fhia in Co. Galway. She attended T\u00edr an Fhia national school and Scoil Chuimsitheach Chiar\u00e1in secondary school in An Cheathr\u00fa Rua. She earned her undergraduate degree in Criminology from University College Cork while also achieving a certificate in digital marketing from South East Technological University Carlow. She has a special place in her heart for the promotion of the Irish language and media. Caitr\u00edona N\u00ed \u00d3g\u00e1in is based in the Munster region for Nuacht C\u00fala4.
\n <\/p>\n

R\u00f3is\u00edn N\u00ed Ch\u00e9ileachair<\/strong> – Nuacht C\u00fala4 Presenter
\nR\u00f3is\u00edn is from D\u00fan Chaoin parish in Kerry. R\u00f3is\u00edn has an interest in acting, singing and the Irish language. She attended Scoil Naomh Gobnait in D\u00fan Chaoin, Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne in Dingle, and then University Galway where she earned a degree in Irish. She worked in RT\u00c9 Raidi\u00f3 na Gaeltachta for three and a half years on the local news in the south of the country as a presenter, producer and reporter. She was a Nuacht C\u00fala4 reporter last year in Connacht and now she will present Nuacht C\u00fala4 in the studio. R\u00f3is\u00edn is passionate about promoting the Irish language, which she has spoken all her life. \u00a0R\u00f3is\u00edn adores storytelling and she loves watching movies. Her favourite movies are from the Marvel series. She often plays computer games, but also loves spending time outdoors, walking on beaches or in the hills, and she loves listening to music too!

About C\u00fala4<\/strong><\/p>\n

History was made on September 8th 2023 as the first ever dedicated Irish language children\u2019s channel was launched. Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Catherine Martin was invited to the TG4 headquarters in Co. Galway to carry the official launch of the new TV channel.<\/p>\n

C\u00fala4 airs for 14 hours daily, from 6 every morning until 8 every evening. Saorview \u2013 Channel 18, Channel 602 on Virgin Media, Sky 624 and Eir all carry the young people\u2019s channel. C\u00fala4 is supported online via the player which is available at cula4.com and also the C\u00fala4 App.
