A Record Number of Irish Women to Feature in TG4’s AFLW Coverage

TG4 is proud to announce the return of Aussie Rules na mBan, with the station once again bringing weekly coverage of the Australian Football League Women’s (AFLW) season to Irish audiences. The 2025 season promises to be the most exciting yet, with a record 39 Irish players set to feature.
Amongst the Irish ranks are regulars such as Tipperary’s Orla O’Dwyer, the most capped Irish player in the AFLW, as well as newcomer Kayleigh Cronin, who won player of the match for Kerry in last year’s All-Ireland football final. Full list of Irish Players below.
The AFLW season begins on Friday, 16 August, with teams vying for a place in the Grand Final on Friday, 29 November. TG4’s Aussie Rules na mBan will broadcast two deferred matches each weekend, in addition to weekly highlights every Monday at 8.00pm as part of the GAA 2025 programme.
Coverage begins on Saturday, 16 August at 5.15pm with Geelong Cats v Kangaroos, followed by Port Adelaide v Fremantle on Sunday, 17 August at 5.15pm. All matches will be available on TG4 and TG4.ie.
