Ireland's Brand-New Song for Junior Eurovision 2025

05.11.25

Cork girl Lottie O’Driscoll Murray (14) will represent Ireland in this year’s JUNIOR EUROVISION SONG CONTEST with the brand new song ‘Rúin’. After a nationwide search where hundreds of young hopefuls auditioned for the judges of the five-part series, ten finalists were chosen from which Lottie emerged victorious! Lottie will sing for Ireland in Tblisi, Georgia on Saturday 13 December 2025 where she will compete against seventeen other countries including Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and last year’s winners Georgia.

You can help decide the winner of this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest by voting online at JESC.TV no matter where in the world you are. Plus, unlike the senior competition, fans can vote for their own country!

Lottie O’Driscoll-Murray has been singing to adoring crowds her whole life, thanks to the incredible support of her mother Celine and grandmother Charlotte. Amongst her many achievements include appearances on the Late Late Toy Show and performances at the Cork Opera House. Lottie is also seen regularly using her singing talents to raise money for charitable causes in Cork. Last year, Lottie made it to the final stage of the national selection for Junior Eurovision on TG4, before narrowly missing out to Kilkenny’s Enya Cox Dempsey. This year saw Lottie’s triumphant return to the competition where she was determined to leave victorious! Says grandmother Charlotte “She’s back better than ever and she’s definitely going to do it!”.

Lottie will perform the brand new single ‘Rúin’ at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Tblisi, Georgia. ‘Rúin’ is written by songwriting duo Ian James White and Nicky Brennan, who together bring over 20 years of experience in the music industry. The pair have worked on numerous projects for a wide range of major international artists. For “Rúin”, the duo joined forces with acclaimed singer-songwriter and native Irish speaker Jenny Ní Ruiséil, blending lyrical authenticity with soaring, contemporary pop production.

The result is a stirring anthem that perfectly complements Lottie’s dynamic, diva-like voice. A devoted fan of iconic vocalists such as Whitney Houston, Lottie channels that same timeless energy and emotional resonance in her performance of “Rúin.”

The official music video for “Rúin” will premiere on TG4’s YouTube channel on Tuesday, 4 October 2025, offering fans a first look at this powerful new collaboration.

Ireland is celebrating its tenth year in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, having first entered the competition with Aimee Banks in 2015. Ireland has enjoyed great success in the competition ever since, with Co. Down’s Sophie Lennon reaching the fourth place in the competition in 2022. To celebrate the anniversary, TG4 will be airing a special programme on Sunday 7th December 2025 where we catch up with Ireland’s Junior Eurovision entries and see how the competition changed their lives.

Tune in to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest Live on TG4, Sat 13 December 2025 and be sure to vote for IRELAND by logging on to JESC.TV
