TG4 took centre stage at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2025 with Doireann í Ghlacáin, Aoife Ní Thuairisg and Peadar Ó Goill bringing the sights and sounds of the world’s largest celebration of Irish traditional music to millions at home and abroad. Through four nights of live primetime broadcasts, TG4 Player (TG4.ie) streaming, and vibrant social media storytelling, Fleadh25 connected audiences across Ireland, the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, France, Spain, Japan and beyond.
From 7–10 August, TG4’s Fleadh Village in Wexford hosted 92 artists across four stages, featuring stars from Ireland, the USA, Australia, Canada, Dubai, Italy, Scotland, Ukraine, and more. The multi-platform reach was record-breaking:
- TG4 & TG4 Player – Nearly 500,000 viewers tuned in to the four nights of Fleadh25 and Fleadh25: Na Cúigí (TAM Ireland, Live + VOSDAL, Individuals 4+). TG4 Player audiences spanned multiple continents increasing reach further.
- TG4.ie Competitions Hub – Live streams of major competitions, including the Senior Céilí Band Final, brought the excitement of the Fleadh Dome to online viewers worldwide.
- Social Media Impact – Video highlights, backstage moments, and audience reactions generated over 3.8 million views to date across @TG4TV, @TradTG4, and @Cúla4 channels, with the #Fleadh25 hashtag reaching more than 60 million people (Brand Mentions Hashtag Tracker) and online audiences dubbing the coverage ‘Fleadhstonbury’.

One of the standout moments of Fleadh25 came on Thursday night when six-year-old Séamie Séan Ó Braonáin from Creevy National School, Rossnowlagh, Co. Donegal, stole the show on air and across TG4’s social platforms. The first clip of his performance has already topped 620,000 views across TikTok and Instagram and continues to grow.
The son of Kíla’s Seanan Brennan and musician/actress Fiona Maria Fitzpatrick, Séamie Séan has been immersed in music from birth. Cavan born Séamie Seán is already known for his sharp suits and his beautiful singing.
His viral moment came when TG4 presenter Aoife Ní Thuairisg invited him on stage while he was waiting to watch his dad perform. Earlier that week, he told Aoife about his mission to busk at the Fleadh to buy the very suit he was wearing a goal his mother said he could reach if he earned the money himself. And earn it he did.
The video attracted the attention of lip-sync star and impersonator Kayleigh Trappe who created her own version of the viral moment.
Lorg Media captured his busking debut on the lively streets of Wexford, a moment brimming with musical talent, charm, and cowboy swagger that has only added to his growing fanbase. Audiences have already crowned Séamie Séan the “star of the Fleadh”, with many hoping to see more from this young entertainer.
