TG4 to Broadcast 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup Live

TG4 is delighted to announce that it will broadcast six games live from the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup. This marks the first time that TG4 will show live matches from a Rugby World Cup, representing a landmark agreement for the channel.

The quadrennial tournament will take place in England from 22 August to 27 September 2025 and, for the first time, will feature 16 teams – four more than in 2022.
 

TG4’s coverage begins on Saturday, 23 August, when Australia takes on Samoa live from Salford Community Stadium, Manchester. The TG4 coverage includes five pool games and one semi-final.

All matches will be available to viewers live on TG4, the TG4 Player and the TG4 App, on the island of Ireland.

 

This live coverage is presented in partnership with RTÉ, who will broadcast all of Ireland’s matches from Group A, as well as one semi-final and the final live from Allianz Stadium, London on Saturday, 27 September.

 

Ireland, currently ranked 5th in the world, will be aiming to improve on their best-ever world cup finish of 4th place in 2014.
