The 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Football Championship Finals attracted a standout audience and recorded the second-highest crowd at Croke Park since 2019, when 56,114 attended the Dublin vs Galway final.

As official broadcaster and title sponsor, TG4 continues to champion the growth of ladies football with its coverage of the Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Finals reaching fans at home and abroad through its linear and digital platforms. All three games were broadcast live, free-to-air, and worldwide by TG4 on Sunday, 3 August.
 

Key Audience Numbers

According to official TAM Ireland/Nielsen reach figures, nearly 490,000 viewers tuned into TG4’s coverage of Finals Day on Sunday afternoon. The Senior Final between Dublin and Meath attracted an average audience of 172,500, representing an audience increase of 16% compared to the 2024 Ladies Football Final.
The match took a 27.3% share of viewing among individuals, making TG4 comfortably the most popular channel in Ireland during the game on Sunday afternoon. Viewing peaked at 5:43pm as Dublin closed in to regain the Brendan Martin Cup, for the first time since 2023. 

  • Senior Final (Dublin v Meath): 172,500 average audience
  • Intermediate Final (Tyrone v Laois): 93,900 average audience
  • Junior Final (Antrim v Louth): 32,600 average audience

Over 3.4 million views for Spórt TG4 socials during finals week

Sport TG4’s social media platforms set the pace during finals week, racking up over 3.4 million views. One standout moment was Nicole Owens’ spectacular goal for Dublin which captured 120,000 views within just 24 hours.

Over 48,000 Fans Attend Finals at Croke Park

More than 48,000 fans were in attendance at Croke Park on Finals Day. This is the highest attendance recorded since 2019. This milestone underscores the growing momentum behind Ladies Gaelic Football and its powerful connection with communities and supporters nationwide.
