TG4 is delighted to confirm comprehensive coverage of the 2026 Lidl Ladies Football Leagues, bringing viewers live action and highlights from across the country throughout the spring.

Action from all seven rounds of Division 1 will be shown live across TG4 platforms, ensuring fans can follow every key clash as the league unfolds. This includes a special St Brigid’s Day double-header, marking a showcase weekend for the women’s game.

Kick-off Fixtures

The live coverage gets underway on Saturday, January 24th, with a blockbuster opening fixture as 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Senior champions Dublin face 2024 All-Ireland Senior champions and current Division 1 League holders Kerry, live from Parnell Park. The meeting of the last two championship title-holders promises a compelling start to the league campaign.

TG4’s coverage will continue throughout the league programme, culminating in the Lidl Ladies Football League Finals, with all four divisional finals broadcast live on April 11th and 12^th.

New Rules

The Ladies Gaelic Football Association has confirmed that 12 rule changes will be showcased, including six measures aligned with the GAA Football Review Committee’s enhancements in the men’s game: kickout mark, two-point scoring arc, three players to remain in the opposition half at all times, solo and go, and the advancement of frees for tactical fouling or dissent from the sideline. The remaining changes focus on existing LGFA-specific rules, including aspects of the tackle, with the overall aim of ensuring the game’s rules remain fair, consistent, inclusive and reflective of the modern development of ladies football.

Ladies Football Highlights

Weekly highlights from multiple Lidl National Football Leagues fixtures will feature on TG4’s gaelic games highlights programme GAA 2026, airing every Monday night at 8pm. The programme will provide a comprehensive round-up of the weekend’s action, alongside wider coverage of ladies football, Allianz Leagues, and underage and third-level GAA.
