This season’s storylines continue with lots of local wrangling, gossip, love-stories that blossom and some that fade as well as all the wit and banter that is the stuff of social activity in shops, clubs and pubs throughout the country.
Other dramatic storylines this season include a central character who is left fighting for his life after he is attacked by his love rival, a marriage is rocked to the core when an old flame arrives on the scene, a gorgeous new female character who arrives in the village and immediately gets pulses racing. Black widow Tina is still on her predatory course and declares revenge on another villager. The local soft-touch David has an unwanted house guest.
Mack confronts Caitríona about the trust fund Dara has set up for her unborn child. Caitríona fobs him off but Mack has had enough and says her lies about Dara being the father of the baby need to be exposed. Caitríona gets angry, explaining she is just trying to protect her child from the truth. Will Mack have it in him to expose Caitríona’s lies?
Cathal is anxious about having Al around, so he decides to pay him five thousand euro to leave town. Al takes the money and leaves quickly. Dara is surprised, but believes Cathal when he explains that Al received a call about a job and had to leave straight away. Is this the last we hear of Al?
John Joe loses at the bookies and heads to the ATM for more money, but gets a shock when he sees there are no funds left in his account! He has a bill waiting at home that needs to be paid and when Mo hears his predicament she forces him to see how bad things really are. Is John Joe going to get himself into serious trouble?
