Wear your county colours at parkrun this weekend as TG4 and parkrun Ireland celebrate the Ladies Football All-Ireland Finals

parkrun Ireland, in proud partnership with Vhi, and TG4 are encouraging communities across the country to don their county colours and head to parkrun on Saturday 25 July and/or junior parkrun on Sunday 26 July as part of a nationwide celebration of the TG4 Ladies Football All-Ireland Championships finals on Sunday 2nd August in Croke Park.
 
The collaboration between parkrun Ireland and TG4 celebrates the power of community and aims to encourage more people across the country to support and engage with women’s sport. Whether your county is competing in the finals or not, everyone is invited to take part by wearing their county jersey or colours at their local parkrun.
 
Built on a shared passion for community and participation, the initiative reflects parkrun Ireland’s commitment to championing women’s participation in sport and creating welcoming, inclusive spaces where everyone can be active. It also reinforces TG4’s long-standing commitment to raising the profile of women’s sport and celebrating the communities that support it across Ireland.
Taking place at over 160 parkrun and junior parkrun events across Ireland, the weekend will celebrate the communities that make both parkrun and ladies football so special, bringing people together through physical activity, volunteering and local pride.

The Wear Your County Colours weekend takes place at parkrun and junior parkrun events across Ireland on 25 and 26 July, with everyone welcome to take part, regardless of age, ability or whether their county has reached the TG4 Ladies Football All-Ireland Finals.
