“We are immensely proud of TG4’s coverage from Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Belfast. As Official Media Partner, TG4 delivered four nights of live shows and competition coverage. We brought audiences even closer to the music, performers and atmosphere through TG4, The TG4 Player, Trad TG4 on YouTube and through our social media channels. It was a huge collective effort. My thanks go to our production partners, Power Pictures and Telegael, for delivering the coverage on Fleadh26 agus Fleadh26 : Na Comórtais, and to Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, Belfast City Council, the Fleadh Executive Committee and everyone who made the week in Belfast so special especially the performers, musicians and competitors who were at the heart of the Fleadh Cheoil.”
1.6 million visitors were in Belfast for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann and TG4 has now created a rich archive of the week’s music, performances and atmosphere for millions more to enjoy now and into the future. We very much look forward to returning to Belfast next year for Fleadh27.
