TG4 to Broadcast Over 26 Hours of Live Content on All Platforms from Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2026

As TG4 celebrates 30 years on air and Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann celebrates 75 years since its inception, TG4 have increased the scale of its multi-platform output for 2026 to bring the world’s largest celebration of Irish traditional music and culture to audiences across the globe.
 
Between Thursday, 6th and Sunday, 9th August, TG4 will come on air in the mornings with live streams of competitions which continue throughout the day to end with the extravaganza of live TV broadcasts over the four nights.
 
TG4’s coverage will showcase every angle of this landmark celebration. Viewers will be able to enjoy live performances, follow the excitement of the prestigious Fleadh competitions, and experience the atmosphere that makes Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann such a powerful gathering of communities, artists and audiences. Details of featured acts, presenters, broadcast times and special programming will be announced closer to the Fleadh.
 
TG4’s channel for young viewers, Cúla4 will be on the streets of Belfast to showcase the best of performances and fun from under 12’s.
 
Through live television, TG4 Player, competition coverage, social media and dedicated children’s content, TG4 will ensure that the magic of Belfast 2026 reaches audiences wherever they are.
 
Building on the success of Fleadh25 in Wexford, which connected audiences across Ireland, the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, France, Spain, Japan and beyond, TG4 will once again proudly share the best of Irish traditional performance arts with the world. As Belfast takes centre stage as the host city, TG4 will bring the Fleadh’s music, stories, spirit and craic to viewers everywhere.
