TG4's new brand look wins Gold at PROMAX Europe Awards
The TG4 rebrand which was launched in February has been awarded ‘Gold’ at the Promax Europe Awards announced last night. The rebrand was nominated in the General Brand Design Package category. The rebrand idents were created by creative agency Red Bee, and a suite of supporting graphics and stings to support the idents were developed by the TG4 inhouse creative team which present TG4 programming content with brand personality. The Promax Europe Awards are the industry’s top prize for outstanding achievement in entertainment marketing and design. Marketers and creatives from Europe’s leading media brands gathered online to honour the campaigns from the past year that delivered audiences and helped convert viewers into passionate fans.
Brand Idents are the visual representation of TG4’s channel motto of ‘Súil Eile’. The six idents are contemporary interpretations of Ireland’s unique storytelling and landscapes. The concept embraces Irish landscapes whilst injecting a contemporary twist via an unexpected interaction with generated figures that enter the landscape. The idents are visual interpretations of phrases in Irish. The themes of the six idents are: Windy Day, Seaweed, Rain Dance, Leporine, Glass Blowing and Street Crossing.
